The Creativity Festival 2018

Creativity Festival 2018 dates confirmed…

3rd to 5th August.

Summer 2017 saw the first Creativity Festival. It was never something I had planned long in advance. I just thought it would be really lovely to spend a weekend with like minded creative folk. A weekend of idyll... knitting, crocheting, making in any form that you enjoy. Having wonderfully talented tutors share their knowledge with us in workshops seemed like a dream come true. The first festival was born a couple of months before the event... there's nothing like jumping in at the deep end.

Tents were bought and luxuriously set up, water connected, toilets and showers hired in... a weekend of glamping fun.

Farm fresh ingredients were picked and prepared for every meal.  Sharing meal times with friends is always something I treasure... it's a time to bond and get to know someone better.  There was time for getting to know everyone whilst sat around the fire each night.

We had a number of inspiring tutors... mixed media collage, dyeing, ceramics, knitting, crochet and so much more. Choosing workshops was tricky as we were spoiled for choice.

The tutor line up this year is growing already. We have a number of truly wonderful people that will be sharing their talents with us.

The weekend starts on Friday afternoon. Welcome drinks on arrival and settling in to your shared tent.  The first workshops take place on Friday for those that are able to attend.  Friday night we all sit down for a lovely three course dinner together as friends.  Saturday morning guests are invited to have breakfast in our cafe before beginning their workshops.  Lunch will be served in the cafe once again before afternoon workshops commence.  Tea, coffee and cakes are available throughout the day.

Saturday night begins  with a glorious sunset BBQ and cocktails.  Sunday is more relaxed, allowing everyone an opportunity for a lie in, or early rises can get the most of a few hours of making. Glampers have a lovely breakfast before gathering up for departure.

Tutors and workshops are still being planned with some very talented people already confirmed. Workshops are assigned on a 'first-booked first-served basis'
